Introductory Tour
If you are interested in joining our chapter, we ask that you attend a new member tour first. You'll get a complete tour of our grounds, can have your questions answered, and if you decide to join, we can process your membership at the same time.
Tours of our facilities for prospective members are held on the First and Third Saturday of each month, beginning at 11:00 AM, in the Chapter House. If the Saturday schedule doesn't fit your schedule, send an email to [email protected] and we'll work to schedule a day and time that meets your needs.
Safety Briefings are held following each tour, beginning at Noon. If you need to attend a safety briefing for the current year, you can do that too, on tour days at noon.
Attending a Range Tour is Required Prior to Becoming a Member

We're flexible and should be able to meet you at a time and date that works for you, if the usual Saturday dates don't meet your schedule.
Membership Benefits
- Gate Access Card(s) included with Membership.
- Members have use of our Ranges from 8:00 AM through 8:00 PM (or sunset, whichever comes first).
- Members receive passes to bring family and/or guests.
- You may purchase target frames — Pistol frame for $25, Rifle frame for $45, or build your own using our plans.
- We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
Current Membership Rates
Memberships run from January 1st through December 31st. Renewals for the coming year generally begin in early October. When you join our chapter, you also join the National Izaak Walton League and the State Division. Approximately half of your paid dues goes toward these two organizations.

If joining on or after October 1st: You will pay the full-year rate, your membership begins immediately and runs through December 31st of the following year. You get all of next year plus the last three months of the current year at the one-year rate.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your membership dues may be tax-deductible.

Gift Memberships
Gift memberships are available for each calendar year. We will send the gift giver a letter for the recipient — they simply need to present the letter at a Tour! Make checks out to "Izaak Walton" ($170 Individual / $235 Family) and mail to: Izaak Walton League Membership Committee, PO Box 8509, Cedar Rapids, IA 52408-8509.
Target Frames
The outdoor pistol and rifle ranges require the use of a target frame. Target frames are available for purchase (Pistol only $25, or combination Pistol/Rifle $45). Plans are also available to build your own.
